New construction is still an attractive option for many Buyers.  Builders are still offering incentives to buy, interest rates are low and best of all the homes are generally move in ready.  The drawbacks for some Buyers is that new construction can sometimes feel like it lacks "character" or landscaping is not included, or all the upgrades from the base price make it less affordable compared to what you can get on a resale home. 

Keep in mind that you do not have to buy homes in new construction through the on-site sales rep only.  They represent the Builder and the Builder's best interest.  You can use your own Buyer's agent to represent you and look out for your best interest.
